Last night we headed to our first of four baby classes. Last night was all about baby care. They taught us how to put on a diaper, swaddle, feed, & bathe a baby amongst a few other things. Ben had a great time at the class. When it was our turn to pick out a baby, he tried to choose the black baby...but it was a girl. So he went for the medium skinned toned baby cause he was a boy...if only our baby would be so tan. After he picked our baby, the instructor asked the men to diaper the baby and then swaddle them. Ben did great...he was way ahead of everyone (minus the fact that he forgot to turn down the diaper for the umbilical cord stump). He then held our little plastic baby and cooed and talked to him the whole time. Meanwhile everyone else had put their baby down on the table...but no Ben held the baby and made faces at him the whole time...which made me laugh at inappropriate times. Overall, it wasn't too bad, just a little long. Hopefully we are little more prepared to care for little buddy....stayed tuned next week for our experience in the breastfeeding class.

ben's a hoot. I wish I could have been there to watch him.
Did they tell you to watch out for the boys, you know they are little pee-ers. You're not a mom or dad until you get pee on your face.

Jen's right...those little pistols have great aim at faces.
I imagine you guys keep that group in stitches! You are going to be such great parents! :)
