Eli meets Spud

Today Eli had the opportunity to meet Spud, an adorable, precious, little newborn Barbado sheep. Spud was abandoned by his mother and quickly took up residence on the front porch of Nonnie and Poppi's house (our friends Jack and Joanie Dean). Spud is being bottle fed and is quite a little baaher. Eli wasn't that impressed, he was really focused on the ball. Nontheless, his interaction with Spud was quite cute.

Facebook Fast

Yes, I have been away from facebook for almost 30 days!! And let me say I don't miss it that much. I miss knowing what is going on in my friends lives that don't live here in my area, but it really gives me something to say to people when I see them in person. I didn't realize how much time I spent on facebook until I gave it up...let's just say way too much. So my original goal was 40 days...my new goal is no facebook until the dissertation is finished. So that means another month or so. So till then, lots of blog posts!!

I am trying to finish up my dissertation and defend it prior to spring break. I am so ready to be done with this blooming thing and to move on to something else. So far, I am on track to meet my goal...but not sure how this will go with interviews at Baylor next week and St. Louis the following week. Speaking of which, I must get off the blog and do some real writing tonight.
