Crib Bedding- It's Jungle Time!

We got our crib bedding in today. I ordered it on Sunday and it is already here. WOW!! And I got a steal of a deal on it. Ben hasn't seen it yet, so I sure hope he likes it! I think he will. It is bright with lots of orange (his favorite color). I think Little Buddy is going to love his little jungle theme.

I just love this bedding. I had no idea it would be so pretty.
Each of the squares is a different fabric with different patterns and textures.

Little palm tree...not sure you find these in the jungle, but what the hey!

The giraffe is so cute...don't you just love his little smile.

I love the blue elephant...he is corduroy.

Fun patterns and colors everywhere.

The zebra is so soft and don't you love the blue/teal leopard print background he is on. Just goes to show you that all the animals can get along.

The edges of the bedding are leopard print (well, at least that is what I think it is).
So fun!! The back of the quilt is green and white polka dots.

22 Weeks!

Seriously...I never realize how really big my belly is until we take pictures. This is 22 weeks worth of belly. I can't imagine what 40 weeks will bring. Little buddy is doing great. He is fluttering away in there and having a grand old time.

Cutest Nephew in the World

Okay, I have one of the cutest nephews in the world. I get to see him in about 2 weeks which is really exciting. I hope that our little guy is just as cute and that he and his older cousin get along well. Can't wait till they get to play together. They will be a little over a year apart!!

He's going to be a golfer!
It is hard being 9 months! Seriously, it takes a lot out of a guy!

Happy Father's Day Acacia

Well we celebrated Father's Day with our acacia group at the Myers pool. It was lots of fun. We were missing a few people (ie. Taylors, JJ Dean, Riedel girls and the Hursts) which was sad, but we still had lots of fun. Ben even got to show up. Now that he is working at camp, its hard for him to get to our group...but he made a special appearance. I just love my friends.

The kids playing.
Angela smoked a mean brisket and sausage. She impresses me more everyday with her mad talents.
The guys...making sure the chairs don't go anywhere.
And making sure the cell phones don't go in the water again this year.

The bald, bathing beauties!!

The girls. Aren't they lovely.

She was a good car!!

Well the trusty Mazda no longer belongs to me. I sold her to a nice man and his daughter from Beeville, TX, as Jack says the city with the stinkest water. I listed it on AutoTrader yesterday morning and within two hours this gentleman had called me to inquire. Needless to say they made the trip up from Beeville this morning and by 9:00am they were headed back home in the Mazda and I was headed back home with cash!! I bless G-d that this was an easy deal. I have had the Mazda since I graduated high school, so it was hard to part with her...but not that hard! Now on to better things...a newer car!

Fortunately, our sweet friends from church gave Ben and I a car that they just had sitting at their house. So I have something to drive until we find what we are looking for. G-d is so good. He always takes care of us, even in the small things!

New Look

In honor of our little buddy, we have a new look for the blog site. What do you think?

Oh and on another note...I hit a deer on my way home from church today...what the crud! Seriously, I had slowed down to almost a stop because one deer ran out in front of me, but then here comes another one. This one totally runs into the side of my car (which I might have been going 5 mph), flips on the hood and then runs off. Seriously, it left an indention on the side of my car. My poor, sweet car just can't get a break these days.

Are you getting tired of this yet?

Okay are you tired of all the posts about our little buddy yet?? TOO BAD...because we are excited. Here are the sonogram pictures from Thursday. Don't forget if you really want some entertainment you can watch the full sonogram video below :).

The Sonogram

My sweet husband videotaped our whole sonogram yesterday. So if you are interested you can watch too...it is about 11 minutes, so this is not for the weak of heart. She announces the sex within the first 2 minutes or so, so you can just listen for my reaction if you want. Anywho, I know our families will enjoy!! It is amazing what they can tell you from a sonogram at 20 weeks. Yeah little buddy...keep growing strong.

Here are some pics of little B's adventures (courtesy of Ben...who thinks it is really funny!)

Welcome home!

Lori will make an excellent helper.

Well what is Baby B? Is it pink or Blue?

Blue?

Pink?

Well, baby B looks GOOD. Two arms, two legs, a beautiful spine, a 4 chambered heart, a 3 vessel umbilical cord, working kidneys, and a PENIS!! He even waved at us during the sonogram. Yea buddy!!

Ignore the belly...focus on the ducky!

Today's the Day!

Okay in T-Minus 7 1/2 hours we will, Lord willing, know what our little B's gender is. So will we have a cute little boy like our nephew, ER?? Or will we have a sweet baby girl? Tune back in for the big reveal!

Aren't they cute!! Mr. Lynn and Little ER.

My other favorite B-Day Gift

So my sweet friends Jamie and Jen both have these amazing inventions called magic bullets. Okay, yes these are those as seen on TV little cup sized blenders...but they are fabulous. Well being the jealous kind I am, I decided that I needed one too. And G-d must have thought the same because it went on sale at costco and was only a whopping $39.99. And for $39.99 you got an entire set of party glasses, two different blades, two mixing containers, a party sized pitcher, and a traveling case! I mean can you say good deal or what. So I tell Ben I want this and he says "no way," so I say, "but my birthday is coming up, how about you let me get that for my birthday." Finally after some groveling and begging, he said "fine, get it!" So I hurried out to costco to purchase my very own magic bullet. And let's just say I haven't been disappointed. It makes the best smoothies. A little frozen fruit, some yogurt, a splash of milk, coupled with some flax seed to make it seem more healthy and wala...a delicious meal or snack.

Up to this point I have just had your traditional frozen fruit mixture, but then Jen told me about her favorite kind of smoothie...white chocolate peanut butter. So I purchase all the necessary ingredients at the grocery store today. I put half a frozen banana, a scoop of peanut butter, 1/4 box sugar free/fat free white chocolate pudding, milk, and vanilla yogurt into the magic bullet and out came the most delicious drink I have ever tasted!! All I have to say is this made for TV invention is well worth the investment. Thanks Ben for my great birthday present. (I do have to say this wasn't the only thing Ben gave me...even more special than the bullet was the journal that he has been writing to me since my last birthday. So so sweet, made me cry....love that man).

Come on over and I will whip you up a delcious smoothie or shake in 10 seconds or less :)

Note to Self: Do not pressure wash foot!

Okay, so I was super productive on Saturday. Slept in till 9am (woohoo). Went to our POA meeting to get our new key to the pool and riverpark. Came home finished cleaning the house. Mowed the yard...front and back. Sanded and stained a bookshelf. And then decided I needed to pressure wash the back porch. All was going along just fine until I let the pressure washer wash my foot. All I have to say is....BAD IDEA!! It hurts like the dickens. In the future if you decide to pressure washe wear rubber boots and not crocs, unless you want your foot to look like this. Sorry for the graphic details, but I don't want anyone else to suffer like me.

Oh yea, try putting tennis shoes on with this sucker. This is going to make gym time and walking very hard for a few days.

Let's Dine Outside

I have the best moms in the world!!! Hands down they are the most thoughtful, best shoppers I know. So I have a birthday coming up and the moms (that would be my mom, Julia, and Ben's mom, Terri) decided that i needed outdoor dishes since we entertain outside so much. So here is what they sent me. Let's just say it was so exciting to arrive home to two big packages on my front porch. Not only was there a plethora of outdoor dishes and accessories, but some really cute clothes for me to wear while I am entertaining (or perhaps at other times). The clothes actually match the color of the dishes, so I am sure that was planned as well. Well here are a few pics of the dishes...aren't they so cute!! Guess it's time for a PARTY!!

The ensemble, complete with plates, bowls, cups, napkins, and serving pieces.

I took the bowls off the plates so you could see the cute patterns.

Here is one of the plate patterns...there are three total!!

Thanks Moms!! You guys sure know how to make a girl feel special. Now just come visit so I can serve you up some delicious yumminess on these super fabulous dishes.

A little of everything.

Well I don't really have anything specific to blog about today...but I am way overdue on a new post. No belly shot today...Ben has been gone a lot with his new job at John Knox Ranch, so no time for photos. Hopefully, I will get him to take a new 18+ week photo by the end of the week. T minus 9 days till we find if Baby B is going to be like Ben or me!! Till then, here are few of the things that have been happening around the Blevins' menagerie the last few weeks.

New gates on the deck...freshly stained.

Last week we finished re-staining the deck and working on getting some plants arranged. Here is one corner we are trying out.

The most recent harvest. The Zucchini are going crazy!!

Oh Lori has a hard life really!! She always has to have something in her mouth...just in case we want to play.

Since we didn't take a belly shot of me this week...Ben must have taken one of himself. I found this on the camera when I was downloading pictures. So Ben at 18 weeks!!
