Quick update from the Chicago airport. Left the house at 4:30am this morning, headed to the SA airport, bags weighed 50 lbs (thats 20lbs underweight), boarded the plane about 6am, worked on my paper during the plane ride, landed in Chicago at 9:15am, ate some breakfast, worked on the paper some more, sweet Sharon Green and Esther edited it while we ate lunch, got on the Tram to head to the international terminal, checked in on Turkish airlines (super nice people), hugged RVL...now we are sitting in the terminal waiting for to board our plane headed for Istanbul. We depart here at 5pm.
Can I just say we are SO EXCITED!! It is amazing to be able to go on this trip with so many fantastic people!
Joanie Dean is so funny...she has had a full day of firsts (first time to check luggage, first time to ride a tram, first time to be in Chicago, first time to fly on a plane for that long, first time to use her passport, and we are just getting started her folks). Can you imagine how many firsts she is going to have one we are in Israel and Turkey.
