Elliana Bell is 2 months!

As typical for the third child, I am delayed in updating the blog. Elli has had an exciting 2 months in the Blevins household.

Elliana you are such a happy baby. You are truly one of the most content and joyful babies I have ever met. You have the best smile that you regularly share with us. You light up when your brother or sister talk to you and you do your very best to talk back to them with your coos. I am not sure if it is because you are the third baby or because we prayed for it--but you are a very easy going baby. The only time you are unhappy is when you are hungry or tired and even then you only give a little sweet cry to remind us that we need to pay attention to you. You do love being held though. If you have issues going to sleep all we have to do is hold you and you will generally fall right asleep. You also love being worn in one of momma's wraps--that's where you take some of your best naps. Again, you love being held close!

Sister love

You are a beautiful baby with big blue eyes. Of course, you are bald like your big brother and sister were at this age. Fortunately you have a perfectly shaped and beautiful head.  You are a fairly good sleeper. Well you sleep well at night, going to bed about 8pm, waking to eat between 3-4am, and then sleeping till 7:45am or so. You are definitely ready for bed betwen 7:45-8 and you aren't afraid to let us know. So you we get you in your jammies, give you a quick snack, and tuck you in your "taco"--your favorite place to sleep at night--and you are out. (no swaddling for you--we learned our lesson on that one with bubba and sister). When you wake up in the morning you are so very happy and share great big smiles with all around. You aren't a great napper during the day, unless you are being held, are in the wrap, or are in you car seat. I am sure part of that is because as the third child we don't really have you on a firm schedule yet--you have to go and do with your bubba and sister.

You love momma's milk and have only had one bottle so far. Guess, its time to start trying to get you to take the bottle huh :). Momma's kind of lazy in that regard :). Since momma finally gets to take real maternity leave and has the semester off, I get to spend lots of time with you. Which is awesome!!  You are still petite and are smaller than your brother and sister were at this point in time. But dont worry you are starting to get a few ruffles!

We just returned from your first trip to Washington, D.C.. You were a champ!! You slept throughout both plane rides. People remarked about what a good baby you were throughout the trip! You hung out with Gigi while mom had to work. She said you gals had a great visit, playing and talking, and taking a couple of naps together (a couple might be an understatement). It was a busy trip, but we did get to take in a few sites on our tour of the monuments by night. We also made a long trip to Stratford, TX where you got to meet PawPaw ER, Aunt Vicki, and Goofy. It was a long car ride, but you were a trooper. It was a little sad knowing that you will never get to run around Mimi and PawPaw's house like your daddy did when he was little and like your brother and sister have done for the past few years. It was a bittersweet trip for us all.
