Three months and full of joy

Sweet Elli Bell you turned 3 months on April 31. It is amazing how quickly time is passing and how fast you are growing. You continue to be such a joyful and happy baby. You are still a petite little thing in comparison with your brother and sister at this point. You have delicate features that are beautiful. At three months you have discovered your fingers and, as you can tell from this picture, you love to put them in your mouth or lick them like a lollipop. They are super useful for those times when your paci drops out and you need a little something to soothe you. You do love your paci though (thank goodness as your brother and sister were not a fan).

You continue to love your brother and sister and as you can tell from the pictures, they love you too!!
This month you have finally discovered the toys on your playmat and can finally grab hold of those pesky things. You still enjoy small bits of time on your playmat or watching the fan from your place on the ottoman, but you do prefer to be in someone's arm or carried around in the Becco carrier. This month you finally saw yourself in the mirror and you thought you were pretty darn cute--you smiled and cooed at yourself and it was precious.

As a third child, you have little to no schedule except for at night. We are sorry about that--but honestly you don't seem bothered in the least bit. During the day you take short naps here and there, but we are so often on the go, that you are rarely at home for nap time. If we are at home, you prefer to nap with someone or on momma's chest in the carrier. And when I say prefer, that's really the only way you will take a nap longer than 30 minutes. Good news, your dad is always up for a little nap time with his baby girl. But nighttime is a whole different story. Between 7:30-7:45 you start to rub your sweet little eyes and make it known through your little cries that you are R-E-A-D-Y for bed. So after a little nighttime snack and some rocking, you crash out. You are still sleeping in your rock in play--but that time is quickly coming to a close as you are getting too big for it. At this point you have a reverted a little bit and seem to wake up between 11:30-12, then again around 2:30 and finally again at 6ish. Some days you don't wake for that 11:30 feeding--so I am hoping that was just a growth spurt. The great news is I simply put you in the bed with me while we nurse and snooze a little and then put you back in your bed when you are done and you go right back to sleep.

Your personality continues to grow and develop as does our love for you. Your sweet smile could melt anyone's heart. When you smile your eyes disappear and your mouth opens so wide. There is really no sweeter thing. You are starting to laugh a bit, especially at your daddy. You rarely cry, but when you do it is loud but without tears. All I can say, is you are already learning how to play the game.

We love you so very much and could not imagine our lives without you!
