The Baking Station

Look at the awesome baking station my husband gave me for mother's day and as an early birthday present. If you know me, you know that I love to bake. It is a cathartic experience for me...it relieves stress and usually brings joy to those around me...so it is generally a win-win situation. Prior to realizing we would be building a house, Ben and I started envisioning our dream kitchen. I said I would love a baking station, so that all of my baking stuff is in one place. So he got right to work on that idea--despite the fact that he accuses me of never saving any of the baked goods I make for our own family. It is true, I tend to bake for others (if I keep it in my house, I will eat it). So our good friend, Master Chief Craig Woodman, built this beautiful piece for us. But now that we are really building a house, we are trying to figure out how to fit it into the new kitchen. I will be so sad if it doesn't fit. It is on casters, so it is easy to move, but it certainly would be nice to have it as a permanent fixture in our new home. So I am praying we can work that out. In the meantime i am getting lots of great use out of this gem.

beautiful granite counter top Ben picked out

See all my drawers...glass front drawers for sugar, flour, etc, a cabinet with mixer lift for my kitchenaid, side cabinet to store baking sheets, and a pull out cutting board. It is AWESOME
