Caged in and learning to share

Well now that the little guy is on the move, life has certainly changed around the Blevins' house. Gone are the days of sitting Eli down to play on his mat or in his bouncy chair. You sit him down now and he is off. He is an expert shadow these days...maybe he'll be a PI one day...although, he's not so stealthy with his squealing and cooing. So needless to say, the coffee table has found a new home and the living room is now Eli's rompin space. I never thought I would be one of those parents who caged her child in, but as you can see from below I caved!! Let's be honest... with a penchant for vacuuming the floor with their mouths, kids need to be caged in for their own protection from time to time. And if you throw enough toys in the cage with the kid, they never know they are walled in!!

Behind bars....
Oh it's not so bad...see I'm still smiling
Pretty darn cute.

Lori decided that she wanted to join Eli in the rompin room today because she looooovvveees him soooooo much. And by love I mean, she wants to eat his baby yum yum rice krisp.

So when I come into the living room, I find sweet Lori all nestled up to the little guy. And by nestled I mean in "ready to swipe that treat out of your hand at any second" mode.

And then Eli turns around and looks up at momma for a photo op (he's a photogenic one) and she's on the move....oh no, don't do it son...focus, focus...she's gonna...
get your treat! Guess this is your first lesson in sharing little one.

O that was so cute. I love how dogs love little children. They will grow up being friends. So cute.
