Darn Exersaucer
So last week I decided it was time to for Eli to have a new toy. He has loved his fantastic Bright Stars play yard and spent hours playing on it (thanks to my college girl friends for that great gift). Now that he is 6 months though, it was time for an upgrade to a big boy toy...an exersaucer. The exersaucer is touted as the "safer alternative to a walker," not the "safe alternative to a walker," I am sure Evenflo's lawyers advised them they would have major liability issues by using the latter, so they opted for "safer"...which means my baby is still at risk for some type of injury I suppose. So apparently walkers are a big NO, NO now, which means long gone are the days of babies motoring around the house running over toes, bouncing off cabinets, and getting stuck in corners. The exersaucer is now the safer, less mobile alternative. Pretty much the thing is like a minature circus of baby toys...I mean seriously anything that takes 12 AAA batteries better darn well be exciting for the little guy. So Tuesday morning I decided I would pull the exersaucer out of the box and get it set up. Yeah about an 45 minutes later I had the "saucer" part put together while the "exer" part lay on the floor in tiny plastic baggies (again, this is why the toy is the "safer" alternative, don't they know plastic baggies are a choking hazard). Ben got up to find me sitting in the middle of this mess and offered to help me get it together....so about an 1 1/2 hours after I had started this little project we had it put together. Only to put Eli in it and have him freak out. Fortunately after a few more tries, he discovered he loves this amalgam of colored lights, sounds and toys. Here he is enjoying his new toy...

Cute!
He is so adorable. I particularly love his big bald head! So so so cute! My husband really adores bald-headed babies :)
Brooke,
He is so handsome! I love that sweet, rosy bottom lip , especially in the bottom two pictures. So precious!
