Growing, Growing, Growing

Well we are officially 17 weeks. Hard to believe it has gone by so fast. We find out what Baby B is on June 11...so check back for that exciting news. Things are going well here at the Blevins' ranch. I finished my huge exams on Friday, which is a huge relief...now I will start writing my proposal and preparing to research in the fall.

The garden is growing well. We have had some great rain so that helps. Each and every time I go out to my garden I am reminded of the season of growth Ben and I are in. It is an exciting time, but a pretty scary time. There are so many unknowns, yet so much to look forward to. I know G-d has a plan for us and I trust that He will provide everything we need along the way. As the saying goes, he equips the called, not calls the equipped. Oh L-rd I pray that you will equip Ben and I for this new journey ahead.

Enjoy the latest pictures.
17 Weeks and growing! Yes, these are maternity shorts...I finally broke down and wore them.

17 Weeks...this is the last bare belly shot I think! From here on out, fully clothed shots only.

The garden is doing very well.
This is my squash plant that is on steroids. Seriously the leaves are like1.5ft in length.

Some of the goodies from the garden. I ate the big tomato before I could take a picture. Oops.

Brooke! This is the first time for real, that I see a baby sump! A legit, not potentially explained away by the old " I just ate a big burrito" sort of bump! Oh how fun! Baby, we love you already and just cannot wait to know and hold you! And, also, some seriously pretty squash too :-)

You are too adorable.

Don't ever forget how very very very beautiful you are with God's blessed growing inside you. No need to cover that up!

OK, you don't have to post the bare belly shots, but GiGi and Mimi have to see the bare belly.

I can not imagine two more wonderful parents than you and Ben. Every day with a child can either be scary or amazing. EVen the scary times can later be amazing!

I bet those maternity shorts feel really good. Breathe out, breathe in.

Love you baby blevins!

Ben and Brooke,
So I got all teary-eyed when I read the post! A baby is truly such a gift from G-d, and you will both be such great parents. And, of course, baby B will have the BEST grandparents available anywhere!
My online baby news says the baby is the size of a turnip now--descriptions so appropriate for gardeners! Love to all 3 of you!
